More than 500 math wizards registered to participate in the 2019 Asia Mathematics Olympiad (AMO), a correspondence math contest whose first round is on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at select schools and MTG centers nationwide. Registration starts at 8:00 am, contest proper at 9:00 am.
For those participants assigned at Grace Christian College, the registration starts at 1:00 pm and the contest follows at 1:30pm on the same date.

The participants are reminded of the following things:
- Be at the contest venue an hour earlier for the registration.
- Bring your school ID for identification,
- Use pencil- 2B or B and bring an eraser.
- Calculators are not permitted.
- Mobile phones and other personal electronic gadgets/devices are not allowed
The AMO, having two rounds (first and final), is an international competition that has been held every summer since 1991. It aims at allowing students to reveal and embrace their talent in mathematics. Each year, more than 180,000 students from Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand participate in this competition, so far.
The final round is scheduled on Sunday, July 21, 2019. Successful participants in the final round shall be invited to attend the awarding ceremony which will be held in Tokyo, Japan on Sunday, August 25, 2019.
