WTIME participants revealed

It’s final! The Mathematics Development Academy of the Philippines (MathDAP) will bring more than fifty math contestants to represent our country in the Inagural World TIME (World TIME Talent Invitational Mathematics Competitions) in Phetchaburi, Thailand on August 16 to 20, 2018.
The 2018 WTIME expected to be participated in by Thailand, China, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines.
The prospective participants of this year’s WTIME must send their confirmation of participation (indicating among others the name and passport details) not later than Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at this email address,[email protected]with the following subject header, “Yes to WTIME 2018”.

Send-off Trainings for All Competitions will start tomorrow

Please be advised that send-off trainings for all competitions will start on June 23, 2018 (Saturday) at Arellano University Main Campus, Legarda, Manila. Trainings will be held every Saturday, 9am to 4pm until you depart for the competition.  For provincial participants, materials will be sent to you by the assigned persons-in-charge for your assigned competition. MathDAP fields math wizards to 2018 AIMO

The heat is on for math competition making the Filipino mathletes to brace themselves as they go for gold in the forthcoming 2018 Asia International Mathematical Olympiad which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand on August 3 – 7, 2018.
This year, more than three hundred math wizards, armed to the teeth, will meet their equals head-on. The MathDAP upon the recommendation of the committee on training and development will field around 270 students in the elementary and junior/senior high school divisions respectively. 
It is expected that large participants will also come from the usual participating countries like Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China, India, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea and Malaysia.

MathDAP appoints students for World Math Olympiad

It’s final! The Mathematics Development Academy of the Philippines (MathDAP) will bring more than fifty math contestants ranging from grades 5 to 9 to represent our country in the 2018 World Mathematics Olympiad –Asian Round in Singapore on July 27 – 29, 2018.
In addition, there is another similar contest slated in February next year. It is known as the World Mathematics Olympiad – International Round.
The WMO Asian Round will be participated in by Thailand, China, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Mongolia and the Philippines.
The prospective participants of this year’s WMO - Asian Round must send their confirmation of participation (indicating among others the name and passport details) not later than Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at this email address, [email protected] with the following subject header, “Yes to WMO 2018”.

HIGH HOPES FOR ANOTHER PH "BANNER YEAR" IN MATH COMPETITIONS

More than 500 young numbers aces from various public and private schools nationwide will represent the country this year in at least 16 international mathematics contests.
Some of the math wizards are competing in this month's Junior Balkan Math Olympiad and the 3D Pan Pacific Math Competition in Greece and Hong Kong, respectively, according to Dr. Simon Chua, co-founder and chief executive officer of the Mathematics Trainers' Guild Phils.(MTG).
The non-government MTG, established in 1995 to promote excellence in math education and training, is helping Filipino "mathletes" - mostly senior elementary and high school students - gear up for the contests with its intensive in-house training program.
