MathDAP names 2nd batch of participants for IMWiC in China

The Mathematics Development Academy of the Philippines (MathDAP) has divulged names of trainees that are invited to participate in the forthcoming2017 International Mathematics Wizards Challenge (IMWiC)which will be held in Xiamen, China onMay 19 – 23, 2017.

MathDAP is inviting another group of challengers to participate in this year’s IMWiC. Since the invitation is on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis, then the following dates should be given close attention:

April 28, 2017 - Friday    -  Deadline for Confirmation of Participation
May 2, 2017   -Tuesday  -  Deadline for Submission of all Initial Deposits,
                                       Passports, China Visa  and 2x2 picture
May 5, 2017   - Friday    -   Deadline for full Payment

Good News…the MathDAP challengers have their jacket now!!!

Finally, the MathDAP challengers can avail of their cool and cozy jacket designed by our supportive parents.  Unlike any jacket you own, you can choose from 2 interchangeable features that will help you brave the cold and survive the heat. The new reversible jacket exclusively for the MathDAP challengers shall be used for international mathematics competitions abroad.

In other words, our MathDAP challengers will have two completely different jacket designs sewn together to make one amazing reversible jacket.

With their number prowess, the MathDAP challengers deserve to get a NEW LOOK to STANDOUT as they represent the Philippines in the international math contests.

MathDAP names challengers in the youngster group

Three hundred grades one and two trainees in the youngster group succeeded the rigors of the 4-day training during the 2017 Young Mathematicians In-house Intensive Training Program (YMIITP) which were held in three batches and venues.

The challengers, the identity given to them for their remarkable performance in the YMIITP, have been placed under the tutelage of the Mathematics Development Academy of the Philippines (MathDAP)and have been invited to participate in the International Mathematics Wizards Challenge (IMWiC) in Xiamen, China on May 19 – 23, 2017.

This year, the IMWiC is the only contest which the MathDAP challengers in the youngster group can join since there is no other competition that has been organized for them.

The IMWiC is the first international math contest which Filipino mathletes after going through the stages of training will join this year. It is open to students in the primary one to grade ten.

This year, MathDAP will field participants from the youngster group to senior high school.

To finalize the possible official list of IMWiC participants, qualified trainees are requested to make a confirmation of participation, using the subject header, “IMWIC-Xiamen” on or before Tuesday, April 18, 2017, through this definite email address for a specific level:

IMPORTANT MOSTP REMINDERS

A throng of qualified trainees will flock at St. Stephen's High School for the month-long Mathematical Olympiad Summer Training Program (MOSTP) which will start on April 17 and will end on May 19, 2017. The training will be from 8 am to 4 pm, Mondays to Saturdays.
The MOSTP trainees, on the first day, are advised to proceed directly to their assigned classrooms while parents are requested to proceed to Stephenian Hall for a short orientation program. Elementary trainees: 3rd FloorHigh School trainees: 4th Floor Furthermore, reasonable priced food for lunch and snacks is available at the school canteen, although trainees are allowed to bring their own meals. However, parents/guardians are advised not to bring foods for their kids.

2017 MOSTP is at St. Stephen’s High School

The country’s finest in mathematics will embark on their month-long training program known as the Mathematical Olympiad Summer Training Program (MOSTP) which will be held St. Stephen’s High School, 1267 G. Masangkay St., Sta. Cruz, Manila on April 17 – May 19, 2017.
All trainees hailed as MathDap Challengers in the 2017 Young Mathematicians In-house Intensive Training Program must open their inbox since important details about the MOSTP registration information and procedures will be emailed in the afternoon of April 9, 2017.
The MOSTP, a stay-out training, will be from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday.
