PH math warriors win medals and trophy in IMOYA

It’s another home-run for the Filipino kids for garnering a whooping 120 medals in the 2019  International Mathematics Open for Young Achievers ( IMOYA )  held at Parkroyal, Beach Road, Singapore on September 14 – 16, 2019.   This year, the Philippines bringing a total of 132 students grabbed 21 gold, 36 silver, 63 bronze medals including a champion trophy for the Philippine team 2 in the group contest.   The 2019  IMOYA  drew a close to 500 students from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, and Thailand.  The following are the recipients of gold, silver, and bronze medals: IMOYA Philippines - Result

Filipino math wizards bag medals in Hua Lou Geng Golden Cup

The Philippine top math students endowed with great force of will and notable numerical acumen came out triumphant for winning a medal each in the Hua Lou Geng Golden Cup held in Xiamen, China on August 12 – 16, 2019.   The young Filipino numbers aces, who came from both public and private elementary and secondary schools, won 2 gold, 8 silver and 3 bronze medals.     The gold medals for our country were a courtesy of Ruzh Anthony Alfonso (Gr. 8) from Philippine Science High School–Main and Nathan Mayer Dy (Gr. 8) , from Philippine Science High School West Visayas Campus in Iloilo City. Bagging home a silver medal each were Elaiah Asperin (Gr. 6) from St. Jude Catholic School, Jacques Simon Timtiman (Gr. 7) and Ziron John Valaquio (Gr. 7) from Philippine Science High School – Western Visayas  Campus, Nathan Lucas Chiu (Gr. 5) St. John’s Institute - Bacolod Reginald Cedric Lim (Gr. 8) and Lia Isabelle Gutierrez (Gr. 6) from Grace Christian College, Charles David Uy (Gr. 5)

2019 SEAMO participants revealed

More than a thousand math wizards registered to participate in the 2019 Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO) to be held on Saturday, 21 September 2019 from  9:00am - 10:30am. For other testing centers, the following are the time schedule of SEAMO : Colegio San Agustin - BiƱan - 1:00 p.m. *Grace Christian College - 1:00 p.m. Precious International School of Davao - 2:00 p.m. Canossa Academy of Calamba - 2:00 p.m. (especially those taking CACPRISAA)  *Note: All participants who will take the 2019 SEAMO in Sen. Rene Cayetano MSTHS will be transferred and joined with the participants at Grace Christian venue due to non availability of the school on the contest date. SEAMO is an international Math Olympiad competition that is currently held in over 15 countries with over 50,000 participants. NCR Orientation for 2019 IMOYA is set on Sept 7

Please be informed that the orientation for the NCR participants and nearby areas of the 2019 International Math Open for Young Achievers (IMOYA) will be at VIP Hall, Ground Floor, Manila Grand Opera Hotel,   25 Doroteo Jose St, Santa Cruz, Manila, 10 am - 12:00 noon, Saturday, September 7, 2019. In this orientation, plane tickets will be distributed to registered members of the Philippine delegations of the above mentioned international contests. Therefore, all participants and delegates MUST submit all their original initial / downpayment full-payment and travel tax payment deposit slips to Fare Option Travel Services  C/o Leah Meneses. For provincial participants, orientation will be  at Philippine Cultural College located at 1253 Jose Abad Santos Ave. Tondo, Manila, 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Thursday, September 12, 2019.
