SEAMO 2018 is postponed in NCR and Luzon, Vis-Min will go on as scheduled

Please be informed that the sitting date of the Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO) 2018 on Saturday, September 15, 2018, has been rescheduled on September 22, 2018 only for centers in Metro Manila and in Luzon due to the inclement weather brought by Typhoon Ompong. However, the sitting date for SEAMO 2018 in Visayas and Mindanao will go on as scheduled on Saturday, September 15.  Please be guided accordingly.

MATHDAP Identifies the 2018 SEAMO Official Participants

The Mathematics Development Academy of the Philippines (MATHDAP), will conduct the 2018 Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO) on September 15, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. in different MTG Training Centers in the country.  The official participants are requested to bring the original deposit slip on the day of the exams. Likewise, participants must wear their school uniforms and ID’s. Bringing of mobile phones, pagers and other personal electronic devices are strictly prohibited in the contest. PH sending team to 5th CFM in Indonesia

The Philippines will send Filipino math wizards to represent the country in the 5 th   Challenge for Future Mathematicians (CFM) which will be held in Bogor, Indonesia on October 27 to 30, 2018. The MathDAP has identified 40 high potential trainees, from 3 divisions namely Middle Primary, Upper Primary and Junior High School who will compose the Philippine team for the above-mentioned contest. These young Filipino mathletes will engage in a stiff battle of the brains with the friendly competitors from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam to mention a few.
